Just trying to figure out what is the best PDA for me. Due to Asus' limited availability I can't go into a store and test the thing out as I would like to. I really like the features of the Asus a716. It has what I want really. What I want is 802.11b, CF Slot, video capabilities, and Emulator capabilities. (And of course PIM stuff which they all have). I was looking at the a620, but unfortunetly it doesn't have 802.11b. Yeah, you can get a CF card, but then you can't have any storage hooked up. I plan on using this thing at work and viewing web pages and such for troubleshooting computers. So, you're probably thinking, "Why don't you just go get the a716 then?" Well, as I see it, it has 2 things going against it. Cost, (I can afford $400, but I really wish it was $300ish.) And the new VGA screens that are coming out soon. I could wait a month and get an a730 wireless, but that would cost me twice what I want to pay. So it seems like I am kinda stuck. Either get the a716 or spend way to much cash. Any suggestions/help? Is there another cheaper competitor? I thought about the dell Axim30 high end model. But first off, I hate Dell. I spend half my day fixing their POS computers and I don't really want to have a dell label on my PDA. and second, It has a SD card slot, which is okay I guess, but I have a 2.2gb CF MD and a 4gb CF MD and would love to use those for some awsome movie watching. I don't want to spend another $100-$200 to get a 1gb SD card. And I don't want an adapter. My philosophy is, if the thing needs an adapter to provide basic functionality for me, it is a PoS.
