Hi

This question may have been asked, but I haven't seen it?

Can you stream mp3s from a domain or shared folder/folders on a network through PPC 2002 or earlier to WMP 7 or 8 I'd like to be able to see my existing Playlists or browse my MP£'s on my network and play them on my iPAQ 3600 series?

Anyone?

Many thanks

Jon
I don't know...(I mean, I guess it should work...) but wouldn't
it be great to have an old Computer with Linux on it, sharing some files, so that I can access them by network and watch movies in my car ?
Already done that, but not with PPC I have a 10" touch screen running windows 98 and WinAMP as the player. It also syncs with the house wireless lan which is why I want to try and get streaming for the PPC. I'd like a facility to browse web files and choos files off these but nothing bar DIVX at the moment and this only supports one URL at a time.

If you get any where please let me know

kind regards

Jon
that's cool...but I thought about an old computer like a pentium with 90mhz or sth like that and a 6gig hard drive with some movies specially coded for my iPAQ!

But I don't want to buy a pcmcia jacket and a network card...
I found that with win98se running on a p133 laptop rigged from the back of the car to the touch screen it was just fast enough but unfortunately it is highly distracting. I cannot imagine watching any movies although the system can, unless stationary of course. I find that i choose music then switch the screen off or turn the brightness down. I would however prefer an ipaq streaming solution. Wireless LAN cards seem to be the way to go as far as connectivity goes but the applications are a little further behind. Have you found any streaming apps bar the obvious like Divx http://www.projectmayo.com/projects/det ... rojectId=9

or Network Media player ?http://www.geocities.com/scansolutions/

sorry don't want to appear th
ick but what is pm2's?

I agree the price is high but it took about 2 weeks of searching over 6 months to find it that cheap and at that quality with the touch screen
yes these were an option but the are a capasitive screen as opposed to resistive they cost a little more. I wanted resistive asyou can use a stylus or gloved hand with it
