There's two major elements in the arms R&D market: the American military and countermeasures for the American military. North Korea spends a lot of money on its military; they'll definatly pursue ways to nullify America's air superiority once the technology has proven itself. Saying we have 50 years before missile-less AA systems are abundent is a very wishful estimate, in my opinion.
