eBooks? Where to buy??

If I go to a P2P network, I can find tons of eBooks on programming out there... but when I do a search for eBooks on the internet, I can't find them. I would like to BUY eBooks because most of the ones on P2P networks are illegal (I think)... Anyone know a good place to get the latest eBooks and maybe eBooks a few years old as well? I mean, for programming...
