Organic Superlube? Oh, it's great stuff, great stuff. You really have to keep an eye on it, though--it'll try and slide away from you the first chance it gets.

It was released to anyone who asked for it. Chris has explained in his forums about why he continued to use the name and even why he started charging for it.

Chris also got permission to use the code and received it BEFORE he started with Marc. He just didn't do anything with the code (I know because I spoke with him about it way back when). When Marc stopped coding for a little while, Chris went on and developed WisBar Advance and separated off on his own, so as Marc wanted to keep things simple. As far as I knew, things ended peacefully between them.

The continued usage of the name came from the community as Chris put it to a vote what the name of the new program should be (he was originally going to call it something else which I don't remember right now). I was one of the people who suggested that he keep the name, in honor of the original developer. Many others did so as well. I guess we didn't see anything wrong with it (I still don't as it was a community choice). Now because of all of this backlash, maybe he'll end up using the name he had originally planned on. It'll be interesting to see what he comes up with.
