The final word: the Klipsch 2.1s came today, and holy shit they're awesome. I love these things.

And a clarification: the reason I didn't notice any difference between 128kbps and 190kbps was because apparently I don't HAVE any 128kbps mp3s. The bitrate setting for Musicmatch was 128, but it was actually ripping at 192. How weird is that?

My parents have finally moved into their new house. Now I can get all my h/k equipment. My landlord doesn't like my comp speakers--he's going to be really pissed once I get my sub set up. :twisted:

Some assholes on my floor love blasting their fucking stupid rap music (Lil' Flip? bullshit! listen to real hip-hop!) and their woofers shake the entire building. I'm thinking about battling them with my speakers... if I turn the sub all the way down on mine, it's still bass-heavy. I could wipe the floor with him.

Yes, since the fact that "gangstas" where "iced out" crosses around their necks means they aren't Christians and don't believe in a Holy Cross.
