Everything I've seen about WMP10 is that it's pretty similar to WMP9 except for the changes Chris mentioned. One downside is that MS did something with accessing the decoder dll so Betaplayer can't decode wmv, other than WMP10 looks pretty good.

On Pocketpcthoughts there is a review of the a730 which has a newer rom version with wmp10 preinstalled.
