This all seems like a bunch of wishy-washy bullshit. Personally, I haven't seen the source code to either one of these browsers. It's awfully hard to make any statements regarding the relative security of these two programs, unless you have an actual insight into these program's underlying structure. Otherwise you're drawing a baseless juxtaposition, and wasting everyone's time.
I can say that the rate of exploitation on IE is larger. Whether that will change significantly as FF's marketshare goes up, I don't know -- probably. Right now, I don't really care.
So how about we stop rehashing slashdot hippy talking-points?
