On a side note: Nintendo is releasing new colors of the system in Japan, black being one of them:

Drop-Dead sexy, if you ask me. But, as I already have one..

You can read more about this at endgadget, at
Personally, I think the Black is the only special color that's decent. The rest look fugly.

I will start with the following proposition: there is nothing cooler than ninjas. Therefore, a ninja game allows a console to reach its peak coolness.

The purpose of a ninja, as we all know, is to flip out and kill people. [source: realultimatepower.net]

Now, check this out. Nintendo's implementation of a ninja: Goemon aka 'the mystical ninja'.

I rest my case; only Nintendo could fall so short of the full ninja-glory. A true ninja would kill anything that looked like that -- including itself.

Also, they are porting this god-awful thing to the DS. Proving that Nintendo was not 'just experimenting'.

*edit* I'm not sure if that thing is actually suppposed to be a ninja. Nonetheless, it is a ninja game, and it does not die.

Man, the original Ninja Gaiden was one of my favorite games of all time, and yes amazingly it originated on the NES. I still play it to this day on my PDA, I've completed/conquered the first Ninja Gaiden after repeated failures in the past when I owned it (thanks no doubt to the save/load capabilities) I'm probably halfway through the following 2 NES sequels, all I can say is, those were some of the hardest games ever, and I loved them. So I wouldent say their exactly irrelevant.

If you like Ninjas and Ninja Gaiden for the Xbox and dont know that Ninja Gaiden originated on the NES as it sure was implied, than man, you are truly anti-nintendo and need to do some homework. As for the whole point about Ninjas, wow.

PS If its any comfort, I'm sure the PSP will at least be as awesome as the gamegear.

Image now this was a game.

Redrum, they are irrelevant to the current argument. Old platform games do not affect the quality of current games. kthxbye.

I had a gamegear. Sonic on that was a blast. I saw some dude doing the first level on british tv extremely fast, or so I assume, because he was on tv (though it was british...).

I did it faster. I was like suck my balls! Then I called Dani. (;P, Andy)

Who cares about the original mystical ninja? Does it make the n64 version any less sucky? No. Oops. Besides, circa 1991, I was probably the right age to find a nintendo game intellectually stimulating.
