come on, reply some ideas =)

well, today i added:
- menu improved a bit more^^
- added area editing (walkable/not walkable parts of the map)
- added map saving/loading

next will be a standalone player application where you can walk around on the maps you created.

if you want to test the current version (he..you cant do anything beside mapping^^), feel free to message me (contact on smokingfish.de...especially you miracle..contact me now! ^^)

uh...another one xD (im the only one beside miracle visiting this thread am i?)

update:

npcs can be created/moved/edited in the map editor.
all rm2k char sets are supported.

next is : saving/loading npcs, starting script language

See that fish? There still is a lot of interest in your masterwork :). Once this thing gets coding I can put my little brother behind it, he's totally committed to RPGMaker XP right now, and making some quite good games on it actually! :)

Raynne, yes you can :). As long as you have enough fantasy it's really easy to work with RPGmaker :). The scripting takes a bit of time to get to know, but in the end it's usually just add event > select the action you want to do (just a list of buttons, that easy!) > insert some text/etc. > done!

The fun part of RPGmaker is that you don't have to learn new languages or 4-month tutorials or anything, it's just really easy to use :). I think the toughest part is when you want to make your own graphics. :roll:

aaah...wait miracle...
i want to include a real scripting language ^^ i hope i can get ppl working , im trying right now.

but ill add shortcuts for all important script commands, so a simple game can be created without much programming knowledge. a script system like in real rpgmaker would be much work and i dont like much work^^
