I think i don't even have enough memory to run the thing, (ipaq 3650 only has 32mb of ram  ). could this pose a big enough problem to keep the program from running?

>>making it play only 1 file (istead of the 4 like you said) that does make it more efficient. does it sound and look pretty much the same as the old wc2 to you?<<

It's quite good actually, much nicer with sound! :-)

ya

Postby IM0001 » Apr 30, 2005 @ 12:59am

Just go and download the windows version of wargus. When you install it, it ask you to put in the wc2 cd so it can extract all the files. Let it do its thing and you will get all the files in the C:\program files\Wargus dirrectory that looks exactly like it does on our ppc's. from there just copy the sounds dir from the data dirrectory on your pc to the ppc's version. (its only 3 megs) but it seams to crash as its caching all the sounds so a little shrinkage of the sounds.lua file is in order i guess. Still its pretty sweet.

hmm

i guess i need to edit the sound file some. I cut out most of the files that take up space but it doesnt play them. These sound files are around 8K each. How come it takes over 20 megs to cache them. Even when the orc sounds are cut out.
