Well, I think there are a lot of factors here in why this place is dead. First of all, there has not been any revolution in PPCs...no new devices and nothing interesting on the horizon, maybe except a new operating system. Where are the higher speeds in processing and video processing.

What I am seeing in PPCs is a melding into a highly capable communications device that is also a basic computer (i.e., the smartphone, such as the new RAZR Smartphone coming out). Seems like people don't care as much about a highly capable Pocket Computer, but rather something that can make calls, surf the web, have Wi-Fi and BT, a thumb board, and screw a 1GHz processor and video processor and expansive onboard memory and RAM. They are becoming pretty boring devices and I haven't seen a need to upgrade from my A620. Also, I have a smartphone (MPX200).

Finally, it's sad that some spammer stopped guest posting. Not good when the admins give all the power to the offender, instead of solving the issue constuctively.

Maybe all the action is with the Playstation Portable (PSP) camp, with all these emulators being ported on to this machine that is roughly half the CPU speed of most pocketpcs. Yes, I'm envious.

So. Who's porting the PSP? Yes,yes, I know about FPsce, but last time I checked, it hasn't been updated in a while. Or, is there anything else ambitious on the horizon? Perhaps N64, X-Box, or even PS2!
