I downloaded Pocket Quake MIPS for my casio E125 but I keep getting the error message "unable to initiate game API. You need to place GX.dll file in the \windows\ directory of this device."  <br>I downloaded all 3 file packages for MIPS and this file was not included.  Is it possible that someone out there could e-mail me GX.dll? thecompound@tgi.net<br><br>P.S.  Does Anyone know if pocket quake will run on a compaq AERO (70mhz)?

You need to do exactly what that error message said. Download GX.DLL from Microsoft and put it in the \Windows directory:<br>http://www.microsoft.com/mobile/downloads/developer/gapi.asp

I did exactly what the instructions stated, I still get that error.  I even searched on my Ipaq for the file and nothing comes up.  All the other files transfered over, i do have the gx.lib.  but not the .dll

I think you have two problems (related to Pocket Quake, you probably have problems in other areas of your life I'm not aware of, but please don't ask me to fix those too ).<br>1: I predict you have the StrongARM version of gx.dll on your MIPS device. The readme file contains the url to download the file you need from Microsoft. Copy the MIPS version (the readme file you have does not take into account MIPS / SH3 devices).<br>2: Windows Explorer on your PC is set to hide system files. Change the options so they are no longer hidden, and you will be able to see dll files. If you use the lame File Explorer on your Casio, it will also hide DLL files. <br><br>Dan East

I had the exact same problem.  When you download the thing from MS and look under strongarm, Ipaqs have strong arm, there is no dll!  Just .lib! I tried putting that on there but no good.  Program went crazy.  Download the thing from MS and u will see too.

Here is the fix in Explorer:<br>View>Folder Options>View Tab<br><br>Look for the hidden files folder, then check show all.<br><br>Presto! dll appears
