So, being bored on my President's Day-day off, I was cleaning my room and I found my fucked up Ipaq. I grabbed it, charged it, and started to mess around. Again, nothing I did could fix the problem. I was pretty much infuriated by now, and I took out the battery pack getting ready to dismantle it and nuke the thing. Then, I noticed it. One of the two screws normally hidden behind the battery was gone. At this point I was really confused because obviously someone has been tampering. So, I took out one of the screws on the top side of the Ipaq, and put it in where the battery screw should be. And... whoila...the screen fades no longer. I AM FUCKING BUSTING RIGHT NOW.
So, I came here to tell my news even though I doubt anyone cares 
NOW! On to re-downloading GfDOOM, PocketQuake, and ALL THOSE FUCKING PROGRAMS I ONCE HAD.
Unfortunately, the Ipaq is not 100%. When charging, the screen does not turn off, and sometimes gets covered with bizarre streaks. Fortunately, nothing bad happens when the unit is on. Whoever messed with this thing did a bang up job.
Now the hunt begins.
