Will PQuake run on my upgraded aero 2130?

Hi.  I have an upgraded Compaq Aero 2130, now with PPC, and 24 megs of RAM.  It has a MIPS R4111 processor.  I'd like to run PQuake on it, but I'm not sure which version (if any) will work.  I downloaded the MIPS-Casio version, but I can't get it to work right.  The bottom panel comes up OK, and the Dialog box comes up OK, but the top of the screen just get 2 thin vertical lines on it - one about 2/5ths of the way across the screen, the other about 4/5ths of the way across the screen.  Am I doing something wrong?  Is this a hopless task?  If so, will a version that will run on my machine be available in the future?  Thanks for the help.  PS - I tried to read the FAQ before posting this, but it seems to be down at the moment. -- Chris J

That is a greyscale device, correct? If so, then Pocket Quake's display routines are not designed for it at this time. Sorry.<br><br>Dan East

Sorry, I should have mentioned it's a color screen (256? colors), 240 pixels x 320 pixels.<br><br>Chris J

Yes, it´s 256 colors... But I think that the Aero screen can be upgraded to 16 bit by software... Right?<br><br>Diego Cueva

I believe it is 16 bit color, I'm not sure how I can check, though.

Go to http://download.pocketsnes.com and download GAPIProperties. It will tell you how many Bits Per Pixel your display is.
