Is it slow or normal?

Is it slow or normal?

Postby Simon Wong » Apr 19, 2001 @ 2:44am

I am just wondering around for my em-500, I install pocket quake on my sandisk 32mb mmc with 7.5 mb free for program, it took me like 5 minutes to run to the menu section (from starting quake screen to loading demo.xxx to the menu)...is it a normal speed, because I think it is kinda of slow...(man, it took 5 minutes everytime)..
by the way...I am running on the 0.06 version of pq..so...is it a normal speed?
Simon, if you have enough room on your mmc then try and unzip the Pak file once more. this will take up about 17 mb but it should cut your waiting time considerably. Also casio released a fix for the EM-500 that supposedly speeds up the mmc reading. So you might want to give that a whirl

also free up to 10 meg itll run better
and kill the demo, u don't want that anyways it just slows u down
would u like my optimized pak0.pak it cleans out alot of stuff, but u can't play but 2 levels unless you have pak1.pak and can get the pop.imp out :)
