I just got my Ipaq and it seems like i can't press 2 buttons at the same time! I had a casio before and this was no problem then does anybody know if there is anyway to fix this?
Keep up all the good work.

Wow, I thought everyone knew about that! That is the big flaw of the iPaq. You can press in on the center of the D-Pad along with any other button or direction, but you can't push the 4 smaller buttons in conjunction with anything else.

Dan East

BTW, the problem is very low-level (in the hardware) and cannot be corrected. Technically, Compaq could correct the problem without an extreme amount of difficulty, but no hardware solution has been devised by 3rd party individuals. The new 64 MB iPaqs are supposed to exhibit this problem as well.

Dan East

Oh yea, that must be it Chuck.

Just like HPCs are also crap?

Just remember, PocketQuake wasn't originally released for MIPS, only for iCraps. :) well, imho ipaq is inferior it has issues, yes its good, but i'd rather have the functionality of all my buttons, and h/pc's seriously think about it 206mhz computer that fits in your hand for 1000 bux, orr for 1500 bux a 600 mhz with a video card and no special software to find.

I built my own 1.3GHz AMD 256 DDR Ram with GF2 Graphics card all for around $1500. I'm betting all you people that bought you $1000 HPC are whimpering in a closet about now. And I too believe that iPaqs are inferior due to their debilitating design flaws.

Then perhaps one of you two would like to buy my E115. IMHO, I find it's perfomance lackluster compared to that of my iPAQ.

I've already found a potential buyer, but I'll keep you two posted by chance he changes his mind.

*Mental Note* Leave iPAQ at home that day ;)

Last modification: 999 - 04/25/01 at 17:46:23
