PQomplex Map

Re: PQomplex Map

... but I still can´t understand "WHY" the bots slow down the map that much. I will try the r_speeds and I think I can get a lower pollycount, but uhmm... I still don´t get it. They´re just bots...

That sounds like a lot of the same features Requiem has.

One thing that I really like is the Bots in Requiem are using a fake death trick, whereby they look as if they are dying, then as I turn my back, they hop back to their feet and unload on me from 6 o'clock. The bots from what I can tell require very little resources. I was holding a bot match against 6 other bots on Randall's map and kept a solid and rather high FPS throughout.

Where can I get Killer Quake?

Well, I've looked around and can't seem to find many Reaperbot mods, mainly Frogbot ones.

In all honesty, I don't see a performance loss with using Omnicron bots, but perhaps ditching it for Reaperbot might not be a bad idea. I mean who want's to download an omnicron bot pak with RA files if they don't want to play RA right?

I've gotten Requiem/bots, RailArena/bots, and ReaperBots working on my iPAQ now. I've found a Frogbot Rocket Arena mod, and hope to get it running as an Omnicron replacement.

Sorry, I meant TutorBot for RocketArena.

The frogbot is supposed to be fairly good, and it's lack of features would incline me to believe it's less of a resource hog. Unfortunately, it doesn't support custom maps, so nix that one.

I'm messing with Frickbot right now.
