Yeah, but we get hundreds of emails a day at our house from clients, candidates and complete strangers (it's not junkmail). Some of these people don't have anti-virus software for one reason or another. They are the ones that pass on the virus.

So we recieve a different virus every other day, from different people in different parts of the world. It's normal and we accept it as normal routine. Fortunately we have Norton AV 2001 and never experienced a single virus-related problem.

So maybe "abstinence" works for Jaybot, but in the business world, AV software is a necessity for the desktop/laptop PC. I agree it sucks, but ignoring it doesn't make it go away.

It will really suck when viruses are finally written for PPC. Like I want to waste valuable space on AV protection.

Last modification: randall - 05/01/01 at 15:35:25
