Death Cube, my level is ready for download

My first level, Death Cube, is ready for beta testing. I have a kewl screen shot for you lamerz to look at. It is far from being done, the lighting needs to be fixed, there is a leak, still needs some texturing and maybe a few fixes. Also i just threw health and crap up there play it as it lies :) its like golf hehe, http://www.geocities.com/bodyboardva/quake02.jpg for a picture. I can't upload it, because geocities sux so somebody msg me about letting me email them.

Good, it runs smoothly in my iPAQ ( no bots). Needs some more detail... And I noticed that the textures looks very "lighty" in my iPAQ...

that'd be because i have not done anything at all with the lighting i'm thinking its still on fullbright :( do u like the hole in the roof, i thought that was fun, with grenades :) also if the guns and stuff are weird in where they are placed its because, i just threw them up there its like golf, play it where it lies :)

Cool map Chucky, I bet you'd get more mileage with a little more constructive item placement. <br><br>IMHO, Item placement is the hardest part of the map because it sets how the map is played according to what options you have available. <br><br>Has any of the current batch of map makers put any thought into making their maps RocketArena ready? <br><br>

actually that was what i was thinking of doing to my map, because of its relatively small size, but i'd like to release to versions one for and one not for RA. If you'd tell me how to set it up i'd gladly try, i think it'd be fun standing over that hole gatting the crap out of a bot, or gettin him stuck in that hallway because you cna't get up to the second floor without coming up that. oops talk about a camper spot...

I've thought about making Kustok (pronounced  Koo-stock) RA compliant. I don't groove on RA too much, but that doesn't mean I shouldn't develop for it.<br><br>I guess what I am saying is, I don't play RA so I don't know the first thing about making a decent RA map. :)<br><br>Kustok is relatively small though, so It should be good for a 1-on-1.<br><br>Last modification: randall - 05/05/01 at 14:39:20

ra maps seem to be smaller and more fast paced. make a few wide open spaces to get the rockets flowing then tight spaces to get u really scared. 999's maps seem to lean toward just all out battles considering all but i think one of his maps is mostly all wide open rooms, which is good, but i like the tighter play. My other maps, which is much better made. r_speed alot lower, is all tight spaces except the quad damage room, and i think it'll be a a cool but i'd like to make it a Grenade launcher game, make that 999 it'd be cool :)
