Who registered it? -- I was going to, but someone already did using namezero... PLEASE IDENTIFY YOURSELF. I would like to purchase it for the normal domain price.. chris@pocketmatrix.com
pocketquake.net would be cool... makes it sound like a gaming network.

I'll probably run quake.pocketmatrix.com as a quake server... I'll just have to do some funky DNS, because I'll probably host the quake server myself when I get highspeed. Unless our sponsor (yes, we have one now) doesn't want to pay for it...

I saw a nic card at fry's the other day for about a buck fifty (Anal Retentive Disclaimer: One Hundred and Fifty Dollars), and another one a few bucks cheaper. I reckon I'll pick one up once the server is live.

I've tried Playing PQ on a a few different types of modems already, and Quake, in general, is impossible to play without at least a 56k connection. This means IR modems, IR Modem enabled Cell Phones, and < 56k wont cut it either.

I'm getting 384k-786k sec wireless internet soon, I can wait. Chris is getting something like 2 or 3 gb a sec wireless. So we will both be on the quake servers showing off our skillz;)

Maybe we can get namezero.com to hand it over to us since it is just redirecting. That way we can register it with a real domain service.

Have you guys ever looked at a namezero request form? I'm talking to setup an account etc.

Anyhow, from what I've personally seen, they just don't hand out domains. I guess since everyone is feeling the crunch right now, they've too have had to limit their free domains to sites that present a prospect value.

In PocketQuake's case, I reckon you're up for some what of a challenge in getting it from NameZero. They're not exactly squatters, but they sure are walking that very fine line.
