Are you telling it to load a specific level after completion? Does that next level switch from mission based to DM gameplay?

Did Fcorp release a Mission based map? I wonder if he had the same problem.

On the subject of the Command line, do you reckon it's a problem with PocketQuake? Command lines work fine on the iPAQ (ROM 1.69), so I'm hoping the problem can be fixed.

Oh, it's definately a problem with Mips PocketQuake 0.061.

It is just supposed to reload the same level, without any changes of skill or anything. It works perfectly under WinQuake.

My biggest concern is that people who have overclocked their PPC may have to HARD RESET. Mine isn't overclocked, so I can't determine what may happen.

The shitty thing is that trigger_changelevel is the only way I know of letting the player know they succeeded in the objectives. So it is kind of manditory.

Last modification: randall - 05/07/01 at 15:54:51

Well I recieved your map and just played it. The single player mode is fun, and creative although rather short. Perhaps a few more monsters will do it. I cant seem to get my bots working so if someone could give me a hand with that I will coment on the deathmatch. the most polys I seen was 120. And it was in a spot were you would not normally play.

Yeah, I'd like to add more monsters but the game really starts lagging. Did you try HARD mode? NORMAL mode only has 5 monsters (I think) and HARD mode has 10. It's still real easy to beat even in hard mode.

There are some areas that are high poly- mostly when you start climbing up the dirt piles. I've been thinking about preventing the player from climbing up those since they don't add to the gameplay and offer no real advantage.

If everyone thinks the SinglePlayer game runs fast enough, I can always add more monsters.

Another concern I have is the "hints". All tht text popping up all the time really clutters the small screen of a PPC. Is it just more of an irritation?

Last modification: randall - 05/08/01 at 14:21:58

I won't be on the board for the next few weeks/months. First I've got exams then I'm going on holiday pretty much straight after that. Someone mail me when the new pocketquake site is up.
