a Suggestion and Question

a Suggestion and Question

Postby Alain De Carolis » Aug 21, 2001 @ 5:52am

Hello.
Yesterday I bought on Ebay my first ipaq 3630.
First program installed was your pocket quake.
The program looks great! Congrats for the great job.
My question is: where is a map of the buttons needed to play? I can see the demo game showing on my display, or the quake menu, but I cant even start a new game (of course I tried pushing every button and tapping all over the display).

My suggestion is to make installation istructions more clear on the pak.gz file. I had to read a couple of posts to realize what was my mistake.
After reading the readme file I just tought "nahh I dont need the .gz file... thanks god I'm not under Linux, I'll do just fine with this .zip" :-)

Regards,
Alain De Carolis,
Italy

Did you download the latest version of PQ (from this website)? It should contain a file autoexec.cfg. Place that in the \Quake\ID1 directory. That contains the default keymappings.

Dan East
