I would think a person would feel a bit left out, considering thousands of people are playing and enjoying the exact same piece of software which "doesn't work". Of course it is far easier to blame everyone else, then accept that you can't get something to work that the other 99% can.

Dan East

Ahh.. I kind of wanted Chuck to be the first official banned member ;D. Just kidding Chuck. Chris, I'd go for it. He should cash that thing he has in for a couple gameboy advanceds.

Over 10,000 people download each new version. That indicates a very large number of people actively play PQ, thus benefit from upgrading as new releases come out. If each person payed a mere $2 for their copy, we could pay the website hosting for the next 2 years, give my wife a good reason to let me work on PQ more, and put up some money to encourage the development of new PQ-optimized, expansive, goal-based levels. :)

Dan East

Aw, shucks, Dan already said it. Where the hell was I on this one? This would've been fun. Honestly, do people like this seriously think that because it doesn't work for them, then the game just doesn't work on any casios at all?! That's so ludicrous! I know exactly what this ill-tempered, short fused, chaps problem was, aside from not listening to directions..... I'm still trying to figure out why he wanted to make the problem worse by changing the directory on purpose after having it in the right place and thinking 'well it doesn't work the other way, so this is just the same' the guy was suffering from the forgetting to unzip the gzip file before putting it on his ppc, and I can almost guarantee it, he may respond and say no that wasn't the case, but it's bull, that is the only explanation of why it wouldn't work... and there's nothing wrong with being stupid and doing that, hell i did that the first time i tried playing PQ, but I sure as hell didn't jump on the board immediately and start complaining about how everyone sucks, dan's an amateur and how i was horrible in bed ever since i downloaded PQ! First damn thing I did was go to the FAQ and reasd that.. I still didn't understand, I was staring right at the file explorer on the PPC saying 'hey it is unzipped!' until it fianlly dawned on me that microsofts explorer on the PPC hides all final extensions. So all I had to do was delete the damn file and unzip it on my desktop and then transfer the file onto my PPC once more. Total time:5-10 minutes. The amount of time I could've wasted arguing incessantly and looking like an ass on this Forum: 24 hours or so, like this fool. You don't have to be the dumbest guy to make a mistake, in fact some of the most intelligent people in the world make mistakes constantly, but you do have to be dumb to argue with people that are trying to help. If this dude just took a couple of seconds to 'think' instead of argue and whine about his incompetence with the PPC, he probably could've figured it out. And Chris, I don't think Dan needs to waste his time answering a lame question such as this gfx.wad error, which has been answered countless times on this board as well as the FAQ. I think it's ridiculous how incompetent and non self reliant people have become (the ass, not you or dan).. I say if a question like this ever comes up again in this manner: "WHAT THE FUCK?! YOU GUYS ARE ALL ASSHOLES AND YOU CAN'T PROGRAM WORTH SHIT, YOU'LL NEVER BE JIMMY AND POCKET QUAKE CAN SUCK MY BALLS BECAUSE I'VE TRIED EVERYTHING AND I STILL GET GFX.WAD ERRORS AND YOU ITS ALL YOUR DICKHEADS' FAULTS THAT I CANT GET A GIRLFRIEND! SO FUCK YOU SINCE I CANT GET THIS PIECE OF SHIT TO WORK!!!!!!" it should just be ignored from now on. However, if by chance someone actually asks politely (yeah right): "Hi, I've been going over the FAQ for awhile now and I just seem to be missing something. I know I'm just looking over something and it's my fault for being blind, but if you could please help me out with my problem that would be great. I'm getting a "can't load graphics.wad" error whenever I try to load Pocket Quake, which by the way I think is an amazing accomplishment and I can't wait to play it. I have the quake folder on my storage card and the id folder in there. Inside of the id folder I have the autoexec.cfg file and the pako.pak file in there too. I own a Casio E-125 serial number J657EAU-3BBPB-085462. I would really appreciate any help or advice that could be given. Thank you." Then we should try to help the guy out. But until that happens, just ignore the assholes.
