I was thinking of getting an iPaq really soon (one of the older ones because they're cheap) and I was wondering if the fact that you can only press one button at a time really makes it suck of PocketQuake. Is it still playable? Do people use the screen controls instead? It would seem like not being able to press more than one button simultaneously would make a really poor gaming device, I'm just wondering if that's true in real life...
The Ipaq is the best device for pocket quake, I think. I'm not the expert, as I own an E-125.

PQ has onscreen controls that make it easy to play quake, similar to how you play quake with one hand on the keyboard, and one on the mouse with a desktop.
I've actually used a 720 a few times lately, as I had to build a version of our medical software for HPC 2000. Nice hardware, but the form factor just isn't for me. It's a lot smaller than I thought it would be as well. The things are definately overpriced compared to the Pocket PCs.

Dan East
No, but the physician that owns the device saw a Quake directory on my CF card and asked me if I was going to install that too. Of course I don't carry all the various binaries around on my CF card, but I told him where to get it.

Dan East
