Have you ever played Zerstorer or one of the other mods that includes cutscenes? We'll need to steal--erhm, borrow some machinema code to handle that kind of thing, but it is entirely possible. Dialog could be printed onscreen or spoken, either way. There are lots of mods out there dedicated entirely to film-making using the Quake Engine--we just grab some of them and integrate them into ours.<br><br>On the other hand, it's entirely possible that we could record these scenes as a demo and just stuff the playdemo command to the console before each level begins/ends.<br><br>But that's a matter for whoever codes it. My only concern right now is getting a story written so that person will have something to work on. If that person ends up being me, so much the better and worse. <grin>

Actually, here is a little bit of leagal stuff that I learned from my siter who is studing law (at least she says she is ;)).<br>We are ok as long as we<br>1. Do not sell it<br>2. Give credit to the inventor of James Bond<br>3. Do not attempt to make money through donations for any part relation to 007 (which is easier to type than James Bond), the mad itself is open for donations (but I don't think we are asking for donations anyways, so this shouldn't be a problem).<br>4. Do not make exacpt copies of retail material (i.e. levels can be the same as a game like golden eye, but there has to be some kind of change.  It is recomended that we orient the levels oppositely.  (i.e.) you start out facing the oposite dirrect, don't you just love law))<br>5. Hold any request by the owners of the items that we are barrowing to the highest degree (i.e if they ask us to stop, then we call the guy 006 with the name James Band, with a short a sound link the one in ah or the one emulated with the name Bond).<br><br>I thinks that is all we need to worry about.
