It looks like it is my port of Pocket Quake that has been tweaked to run on some other platform (Qt/Palmtop):

It should still compile for PocketPC (possibly needs a few adjustments) as it's the PocketPC ported code I based this code which works for Qt/Palmtop on.

Funny it doesn't mention "Pocket Quake" or " Dan East" anywhere.

Anyone know what the heck Qt/Palmtop is?

It doesn't look like any files or source is available. The whole entry consists of a couple of paragraphs.

Dan East

Okay, this QT thing is a graphics API that is supposed to allow you to build for Max, Windows, X, Pocket PC, etc, without modifying your code. So the input and main window code of PQ was probably modified to support this other API.

http://www.trolltech.com/products/qt/index.html

Dan East

:) That's what I get for taking 5 minutes to compose a message. I saw that additional info on the Homepage portion of the source forge entry.

Dan East

Well, for now just email it to me, and I'll stick it on the download page.
Also, provide me with a list of all the devices that need this version, if there are others besides the HP 525.
Also include your full name so I can give you credit for it.

Rob, if you're listening, email me the HP 720 version as well please!

For now I'm just talking about the binary, not the source.

Thanks!

Dan East
pocketquake@pocketmatrix.com

Then that means someone converted the ASM to C, which is the real bulk of the work. Where's the source? Hopefully it was GPL'ed.

Dan East

BTW, that's the same port mentioned at the beginning of this thread. If you look at the screenshots, specifically those of the console, it says "PocketQuake 0.06" in the bottom right. :)

Dan East
