Quake Demo Recording?

Does anyone know how to record your own demo off a custom level and then set that as the playback instead of id's demo when the game opens?

thats a good idea - record demos then covert them to mpegs for the site... <br><br>you just need to change the demos that are run in the config file to the name of your demos.<br><br>oh yeah, to record a demo i think its something like:<br><br>record demoname

i just made a new design - its not really arty or anything but its so fast and i've put almost all the maps and mods up there now. <br><br>shape wants me to add some 'cool graphics' but we both agreed randall is too busy right now, so if anyone else has any ideas...

oh okay, well a quake guy (not the model though, a drawn one) in a cool pose... thats about it, it'll go on the right side of the new page.

also where does the demo I record have to be? in id1?

i dunno, i guess if it was done in full colour like it was painted it would look good but a plain b/w sketch might go with the design of the site.

well im busy editing two films right now, so painted I dont really have the time to do, but if you need a sketch i might be able to get one done over xmas break and email it to you after break.

hey paul, do you know what the exact line in the config is for demo recording, I cant seem to find any line that has "demo" in it or anything like that.
