PocketQuake not a valid CE application

Hello,<br><br>I 'installed' PocketQuake on my Casio EM-500, but when I start Quake I get a message saying:<br>'PocketQuake' is not a valid Windows CE application<br><br>Can anyone tell me what this means and how to solve it?<br><br>Thanks,<br><br>A-Rock

What ideot is saying is that you must have downloaded the SH3 or ARM version. You need the MIPS version. It may sound like ideot was talking nonsense, but that is what he really meant.<br><br>Dan East

And actually, in the future, this error will also occur with some applications that use gx.dll if you don't have it installed correctly. Quake isn't statically linked, so it doesn't have this problem, but other games do. Just so you don't go looking for ARM instead of MIPS when it pops up in the future.

That's good to mention, Thomas. That's exactly why I went to the trouble to dynamically load gx.dll, to differentiate between those types of errors.<br><br>dan East

Just throw gx.dll in your /Windows folder. Then perform midnight sacrifices to Baron Samedi, Loa of roads and the dead, while bathing your warts in stump water under a full moon.
