PocketQuake on IPAQ 3635

Hi. I have followed all the instructions on installing PocketQuake on my IPAQ 3635, but am experiencing some difficulties: first, is it O.K. to put the unzipped "pak0.pak.zip" directly on my IPAQ without decompression (I thought that I can); second, when I try to run it, it states "W_LoadWadFile: couldn't load gfx.wad", and I'm not sure what that means. Please help. Thanks.

sorry, you have to unzip it. thats why you're getting the gfx.wad error.

Paul, how much space are we saving my having that Quake PAK file gzipped AND zipped. Why don't we just provide the link to the shareware PAK on it's site and the gzip utility and they can gzip it themselves? Or just have the gzipped version for download, it couldn't be that much larger of a download.

cause then IE will ungzip it as it downloads and you'll end up downloading 18mb worth of crap.

So, how would I do it if I can't unzip it using gzip? I have restrictions on my computer- I can't download programs. Also, what is the size of the program once it is on my IPAQ? Thanks.

download the .zip file then unzip it with winzip then put the .gz that you now have onto your ppc.
