You installed it incorrectly. Read the readme.txt file. The files should not be in \My Documents\quake\ on your device, they need to be in the root dir \quake\ with a sub folder ID1\ for the .pak/.gz file.

the quake dir should not be in you my documents folder, that is your problem. the quake dir should be in the very root(below the my docs folder) of your device.

sounds like you're getting the .gz/.pak thing mixed up...

if its called pak0 then its a .pak file,
if its called pak0.pak then its a .gz file,
if its called pak0.pak.gz then its still a zip file so you'll need to unzip it matey...

if you can make sense of that then you sir, are a genius.

okay, okay, this is my mistake (kinda) - the link to the PAK0.PAK file that you need is on the mods page, not the downloads page - i've put it on the DOWNLOAD page now, okay?

You only have to unzip it one time:
pak0.pak.zip -> pak0.pak.gz

You can optionally ungzip it a second time, which will double the size of the pak0.pak file, but will make loading much, much faster. You will of course need a storage card (or a 64 MB Pocket PC) to place the 20 MB pak0.pak file on.

Dan East
