I'm in love :)

I just remembered, if you look at the rear spoiler in the second shot, you'll notice it's not exactly mounted to anything.

That's because once you hit 45mph, it rises about 3 inches to provide more pounds of pressure to the rear end when at high speeds.

This is yet another one of those wacky German "innoventions", that just add mounds of personality to their cars.

German engineering... god I love it.

The entire history or german engineering is so cool. Their planes were just badass in WWII- with the first PRODUCTION jet fighter, the Messerschmidt Me 262.

I'd like to see the Corrado in action. All I see around here is highschoolers driving around in Hondas thinkin' their shit is fast.

999!! I wish I saw this post earlier, but I am a SUPER SUPER Volkswagen (mainly, but all European cars) enthusiant!! I know, well, everything on VW. The Corrado was an awesome car. I go to VW shows ALL the time, and you should see some of these Corrados. Me and my dad have a super custom 1999 New Beetle (tell me how, and I'll post some pics). What engine did you get? The VR6 is the fastest and most reliable. Don't say you got a G60, those are VERY unreliable because the supercharger breaks all the time, and are VERY expensive. I know Neuspeed of course (we have Neuspeed brakes and anti-sway bar). From the pic, you didn't get the Neuspeed/Borla exhaust (2 exhaust holes), which is like $1700, but it's the sexiest sounding exhaust in the world. I gotta go now, but I'll write more tomorrow, ANY questions, just ask me, I love the Corrado and all VWs too much. I can give you infinite customizational ideas.

Warren, Yep, I got the G60, it's my second one ;)

Believe me, I know all about the G60 and I have to say it's performance far outweighs the drawbacks. I've got killer warranty on this engine for 5 years, up to 5k no deductible. That will pretty much cover a new engine (dad owns shop) and then some, so I'm not worried :)

Hey, have you seen the BeTTle? It's a modified bug with the front and rear end of an AudiTT. I have to admit it looks pretty dope.

Last modification: 999 - 05/28/01 at 18:22:24

I eat Acuras and Civics for Breakfast :) If they squeeze(NO2), then I'm pretty much fuXored, but so would a Porsche for that matter.

I prefer to race BMWs, because they're built sporty, rather than just being a modded compact. Besides, I love to see their faces when I dust them in a VW 8)

I'm just waiting until I can scrap up enough money for my BMW M5 or Aston Martin DB7. Sure DB7's are half as fast as an M5, but their look twice as good. And James Bond drove one ;D.

Moose, they're overrated and overhyped ;)

Save your change for something you can be proud of, and not be just another yuppie in the pack with the same car James Bond...

I would have gotten an AudiTT already if it weren't so damned trendy down here in LA. They're cliche artists cars, and ooooOOOOOooooo they were in Mission Impossible... :(

Damned yuppies ruin everything, just like Harleys, Krispy Kreme and Macintosh...

Last modification: 999 - 05/29/01 at 13:10:08

I miss Krispy Kreme. When I lived in New York we had a Krispy Kreme about a block away... Seattle doesn't have them yet.

You got a real good warranty on the G60. It's quite obvious that there's the German car people and the Japanese car people. 999, I have seen the BeTTle, it's looks too funny. If a German car person goes up to a Japanese car person and says "hey, did you upgrade the CPU chip to increase hydrolic valve output?" and they'll say "what's a CPU?" Hey 999, have you seen the new BMW 325i Compact?? SOOOOO awesome! 192hp stock! ESP, GPS naviagation, HID headlights, everything for $18,000USD!!! I almost guarantee it'll be my first car, the 8 airbags appeal to my mom. What about a MINI COOPER S? 160hp, damn nice, made by BMW. My dad wants me to get a new VW Golf TDI, I don't know yet, but maybe. I only have a few monthes to decide. 999, tell me how to post pictures so I can post some pics of me and my dad's Beetle.

We got a few down here.

They were packed like hell when they first got here. The local news showed lines of cars extending miles down the street just waiting for Krispy Kreme doughnuts.

They're dead now, it's funny to walk by and see so many employees just standing about.

Warren:

Minicoop!!!

OMG, we must be family!

My Dad is buying a coop when it comes out. It's all he's been talking about since he got connected to the net. They look awesome as all hell! Compact, sporty, and kleen... He had an older one when he was my age, but my Mom made him sell it like most Moms do.

The new 325i is super sweet, but mang, they're the new Honda Civic out here in LA. I really hate going out and seeing everyone in a car like me, the only difference being the color, or type or rims they have. They will be fun to race tho, it's got a smidgen more HP than a stock Corrado, but who has a Stock Corrado these days? ;)

To post an image, you have to first put it online, like your personal website or something (i use a free www.brinkster.com account). Then you just put [ img ]http://image-url[ /img ].
Dont put the spaces before and after the brackets like I did, I just had to do that so it would print. [i and g] is out it should really be.
