There have been many concepts for a new Corrado, 999. Here's a concept for 2002, this one's the best out of all of them. (It looks like a SEAT Leon body with a Corrado front) - Image

They got rid of my hard lines!!!! It's all soft like a passat...<br><br>I see they still kept those Ghia Wheel wells.<br><br>Still, it does look aggressive :D<br><br>That front end is just screaming Corrado. <br><br>

Yeah, it especially screams "Corrado" since it is in big letters splashed across the front.<br><br>Compare the wheels of the Corrado to the wheels of the Benz- it looks like good 4 inch difference, or maybe the Corrado was designed with a better sense of scale. Who decided to put "Cheerios" on the Benz- blah.

I have a simple rule about liking cars.<br><br>"I don't like cars that look like a Shoe a Giant Robot would wear."<br><br>That Benz looks like a comfy little loafer or something. I could totally picture the 21piece Voltron with a set of these as feet...<br><br>

That's quite a different metaphor on cars 999. There are many other concepts, I just like this one the best, mainly because all it is is a SEAT Leon with a copy & paste Corrado front and copy & paste VWs on the wheels. I love the SEAT Leon (owned and made by VW, SEAT is a Spanish company, not sold in America) Here's some pictures of the REAL SEAT Leon Cupra (Cupra is the sports name, like how Porsche's is S and Audi's is S#, like the S4 for the A4) - Image Image MAN! I love this car! If I move to Euro, this car is DEFINITELY on my list! V6 with 204 hp, 0-60 in 7.3 seconds!

Well, the Corrado will prolly be built off that frame (if it even comes out), as platform technology is the only way it will happen. Take the new beetle for instance, that's built off a Golf frame I think it was. <br><br>That SEAT has a stubby rear end, more akin to a honda civic (bleh). The tires/rims also have that problem of looking too small.<br><br>It's odd, they either make them too big, or in the case of that benz, the size of rollerskates.<br>

Warren, I don't like the new Mercedes coupé.. I don't know.. it kind of breaths "Made in Japan" all over it. :( And since I completely, totally HATE japanese cars because of their plasticness and pure ugliness, I got tremenduously sad when I saw the new MercedesBenz.<br><br>I could've sworn.. if it handn't been for the three-legged star and the E-class style headlights  I would've taken it for a trendy KIA. I've been researching the MINI COOPER more 999. My dad laughs when I want a new car. He wants to get me a VW Golf IV, but I don't know. I looked into the 2002 MINI COOPER One, which is the lowest model. It's well below $18,000, which is nice, but I have 2 complaints about it. One, the front grill is black with a chrome ring, real ugly, and two, IT ONLY HAS 90HP!! That's 0-60 in 10.9 seconds!! My grandmother can run faster than that yo!! The normal MINI, which is $18,000, is 115hp, which is a standard engine, and the MINI COOPER S is 160hp supercharged, which is $21,000. What I think I'll do, is, my dad keeps saying "you should get a junk car first so you can bash it up." I kind of agree, but I know I'll be a good driver (I learn what not to do from my dad :-) ). What I'll probably do is, get something like a 1980's VW Scirocco, and then later on, get a 2002 MINI COOPER S with all the bells and whistles USED! I mean, you can get a 1999 VW New Beetle for $11,000 now! That's 2 years old, that means in mid-2003 or late 2002 (I'll be a junior in HS), I can get a 2002 MINI S for maybe $13,000 or less! But the question is what do I get now? I like the VW Scirocco's, and they're VERY cheap. Maybe a 1980's Porsche 944, that'll be nice, and cheap, well not as cheap as the Scirocco (944 is about $7,000 and Scirocco is about $3,000).

maybe I'll be able to swing an SLK 230. It will be my Senior year of high school. I deserve it for all my good grades.

Look at this kick ass 1987 Porsche 944 Turbo! 84,000 miles, perfect condition, only $7,500!! Well, there are still 2 days til the auction closes. If I'm gonna buy a Porsche 944, I'd look in a local want ad, not eBay. The 944 is 150hp, plenty fast enough, very good handling, and is safe (my mom's main concern, it has an airbag). All Porsche's are made in Germany, so reliability is very good. As you may know, in the late 80s and early 90s, VW had a factory in Penn State, which made the lowest quality VWs ever made (it was still high quality compared to American, but unexceptable for VW), so that's why I'm leaning away from the VW Scirocco. Plus, if someone asks you "Hey, what car do you have?" all you have to say is "Oh, I got a Porsche." Here's some pictures, I love the blue one, and green, but blue is still awesome. - Image Image Image Image Image Oh, did I mention that top speed is 170mph? :-)  Oh, the 150hp and 170mph top speed is for the standard 944, this one is the 944 Turbo, which is 217hp and 180mph top speed, but I really don't want that fast, because then when I get the MINI S 2 or 3 years after that, the MINI will be SLOWER than the Porsche! Plus 217hp is way too fast for my first car! 150hp is just right, not hilariously fast, but not at all slow. Can you imagine how many chics I'll get with this thing?! No chic can say no to doing it in a Porsche! ;-) And it's still in the VW family. Last modification: Warren - 07/02/01 at 22:27:51

Oh, and btw.. what's with the matte finish on this Porsche? You might want to give it a full refurbishing. :)

Is there not one biker in this entire forum? Cant stand cars.  A message to Warren over that disgusting little hybrid.  If you ride one in europe, you will be laughed at.  I live in england, i ride a bike.  The guys on those things go slow, cant see, look a twat and get wet elbows.  Get a speedy 600 and enjoy riding, or get a car and sit.<br>Rob

Of course you'll be laughed at, because the turbodiesels get better mileage, are must more reliable, and are MUCH faster! The hybreds are quite new, it'll be, I estimate 1 decade, until the hybred is up to the standard of normal cars in safety, reliability, and performance. Well, sorry Rob, but I'm not much of a biker, but do you mean biking as in mountain biking? or dirt biking? I have a bunch of friends that go dirt bike racing all the time here. I'm not into that, because it's expensive, and I prefer 4 wheels ;-) Oh, and of course speed.

I think he means Harleys and Hondas, motorcycle things for on the road. But they suck. Why do I want bugs in my teeth?
