I'm in love :)

There's a reason why they only made 325...its so damn ugly. Sorry, but that was my opinion. A lot of these vehicles that are rare and limited edition are major fugly in my book. At least I'll save money on that note.

No offense Warren, but VW actually painted that in the factory? I thought it was a costumizied paint job.

Thanks for such positive feedback everyone~~~~~~ but I ACTUALLY bought the car for an insanely cheap $6,300. The last one sold (according to carfax.com) was a year ago for $15,500, so I got quite a good deal. I'll be customizing it, spoilers, rims, lights, etc... So it won't look like a freakin' clown car, but a decked-out V-dub. Werner, yes, they ACTUALLY made them those colors, just as an experiment. The Harlequin Edition was first made for the European Polo, and then the Golf for the US and Europe.

I took a picture of it to school to show around to everyone, and believe me, it's a real chic magnet. They were already begging for rides. All the guys liked it, but said it would be, quote "kickass" (yes, we use the word kickass a lot up here) with 18" rims.

I dont care how rare that car is, I would rather walk than drive that thing.

At least Village Ideot supports me, thanks.

I'm looking into these 17" wheels right now, Kosei K1 Racing White, and they're reasonably priced. - Image

There's an auto customizing shop near me, where they know me and my dad very well, and they'll be able to get me discounts. They're super professionals, so I'll let them look at my car, and see what they come up with, and I'll have to get a free t-shirt from them too ;-)

Are you going to repaint it? If it's so rare, I hope not.

Repaint it?? Hell no!! The colors are the whole point of the Harlequin Edition. Some people at school say it looks like a clown car, yet others say it's awesome. I need to sup it up to appease everyone. I showed some pictures to my French teacher and she almost collapsed from joy.

As for wheels, I'm also considering these Mille Miglia (Italian made) 17" wheels - Image This one is a darker color version - Image

I think the darker one would look real cool, but same with the lighter one, I DON'T KNOW!! I'll take it to the auto custom shop (Driver's Edge Customizing Shop), and see what they think. I'm getting, right away, a 35% window tint (darkest by law), these eyelids (Kamei A3 slanted eyelids) painted blue to look mean - Image and this rear deck spoiler (Freedom Design spoiler) also painted blue to have some blue in the back and front of the car (this isn't a good view of it) - Image

I'd also like the Neuspeed cat-back exhaust, but that'll come later, it GREATLY improves the engine sound to this real kickass low grunting sound, it's SOOOO good.

Umm, I think painting the rims would be going a little too far, normal silver would look best. Or maybe those white Kosei wheels, they also come in normal silver. When I take it to the auto shop (I'm going to go there anyway for them to put on the rear spoiler, I don't trust myself to do any kind of drilling ;-) ) I'll ask them what wheels would look best. They have software that you take a picture (does not have to be a perfect side view) and see how the wheels would look on it.

the fact that Warren and Ideot are on the same wavelength tells you alot about both of them.

We see mismatched panels on cars all the time- they are called junkers. Normally for people that can't afford a real paintjob.

There better be something more substantial about this "limited edition" than the paintjob. Is it equipped with rocket boosters or something? Maybe a Jato unit strapped to the roof?
