Alright. I'm not so fond of just unloading my pent up frustrations on random people, but I've got no choice on this one.

Verizon Wireless (wireless phone company in the States, for those of you out of the country) continues to send me a bill for $308.57 for a balance accrued in June. I paid this bill via credit card, on August 13. However, Verizon says that I didn't. Yet, my credit card statement shows clearly that I did make a payment to Verizon for $216.82. Where the HELL did THAT total come from? Why would they put a partial payment, of that random total, through if I owed $308.57??

Anyhow, so now to straighten all this bull out, I've got obtain access to a fax machine, and fax my credit card statement to them. I think those bastards should send someone down to my apartment and take the damn thing from me. MIT doesn't let you make long distance faxes for free - so I've got to buy a flipping phone card before I can make the fax. I say, "Do you have an e-mail address? My statement is electronic, and I can just e-mail it to you." He says, "No. Nobody uses e-mail in the professional world."

I threw down the phone, and have been hiding under the covers for six hours. Thank God my keyboard reaches this far.

Screw this. Ugh.

Thanks for your time. Carry on.
