right, i just played it in pockettv:<br><br>size: about 320x240<br>bitrate: 1411kb/s<br><br>shape tells me 160x120 is good and that 150k/s is good too... is this okay for a whole episode or can i go a bit better? i want in between his settings and mine, really.

Paul, the quality in that trailor was VERY high. You will not be able to smoothly play anything like that on the PocketPC, let alone have room for an entire episode. I would try 250kb/sec bitrate and see how that turns out. I suggest you buy a 256mb card, they are about the same price and the extra room is worth it.

yeah i know thats way too high i'm saying shape thinks something like 150k/s so i'm getting tmpenc now to convert it.<br><br>128mb and 256mb ar about the same price?!? come to think of it... i have about £400 spare, but i only want to spend about 50 right now... we'll see.

OK Paul, let's do some simple elementary math:<br>(Video bitrate + Audio bitrate) x Length in Seconds<br>(150 kbps + 48kbps) x 1200 seconds = 237600 KB, or roughly 23.7 Megabytes, depending on the quality and a few other settings. Or you can stop the encoding at 1% and multiply the size of that file by 100. Then you get a good idea of how the movie will look, the quality and all so you don't waste 16 hours encoding a wasted movie that will be too large for your device to handle. Be smart people.
