Anyone who thinks this was justified or that "what comes around goes around" or that this is our fault deserves a baseball bat jammed up their ass.

I would be the one who said "what comes around goes around"... I've already said my opinion about that. I don't believe it is YOUR fault. It's the governments (or whoever makes the stupid decisions). The civilians should not have had to pay for the governments mistakes.

Also, if the US retaliates to the "best of it's ability", that would be a war. Possibly a nuclear war which wouldn't be good concidering pakistan has nuclear weapons too. The US should find the terrorist responsible and fry them. If the US takes it out on the whole country and kills civilians things won't be good.

Good or bad, we are retaliating. Our president has already openly said so. And how couldn’t he? We have an enormous amount of "cockiness"; the American people know we have the capabilities to find who has done this, and to kill them. That is what I and 99% of the country wants.

Retaliation will not take very long to come. If nobody is found to blame, Iraq and Afganistan will feel the US's military might.
But if the US is not careful, in the so called "colateral damage", the cycle will continue.

Let's not speculate.... The US will retaliate with all necessary force. It won't be us that forces a war, but them. Whoever 'they' are.

Let's be realistic. If, for the sake of argument, this is Bin Laden (or any of the other Muslim jihad morons running around in the Middle East), then what's going to happen is the following:

The U.S. will mobilize, hunker down in Afghanistan, trounce through the country, kill anyone with a gun, and continue to phuck up everything in the area. Remember George W.'s dad? The family doesn't have a history of messing around with this kind of thing. Neglecting that, this time we've got an entire Congress (House and Senate) who are rearing to go - so funding and support are clearly there.

Here's the bottom line. The chicken-shit group responsible for this one is calling for a statement; they've made one, and now it's time to hear ours.

I don't think nuclear war is a danger here, as any conflict that results will be short-lived.

But, there is one scary thing out there to consider:

The people of the United States have not been united behind one thing since World War II. Not since Pearl Harbor has the sleeping giant actually decided to rear its head...well, ladies and gentlemen, prepare for a show. America, collectively, is f ucking pissed.

As an officer in the Navy, I'm ready if I'm needed. Screwing with me and my rice bowl is one thing...but screwing with innocent civilians is another thing entirely. Cowardice, ignorance, and cruel intentions are a very bad combination.

God bless the victims. I will continue to pray.

NATO, primarily Britain and the U.S., is going to exact revenge. Rest assured.
