Wanna buy the demo of Talisker?

Wanna buy the demo of Talisker?

Postby Luciano U. Werner » Aug 25, 2001 @ 2:12pm

I didn't believe when I read about it, but it's true. MS is selling online a CD-ROM/DVD with the demo of Talisker for $US8,95 (international orders are accepted). If you have 9 bucks uselessly laying around...
They do the same thing with their SDK. It's for people with a low bandwith.

But buy a demo? I don't think you can test a OS with a demo. It would only show the features the OS has.

I think they mean for that to cover the cost of production/CD and shipping/handling.

I did try it, i didn't like it one bit, first of all you need to configure it so that it will build the OS that you want, then the emulation is very slow and there's nothing really neat to see.
Unless you want to take a look at new EVC4.0 beta. It comes with MIPS IV instruction set support as well (I readed it)as a MIPS separate full assembler...
Interesting only if you are developing for windows CE and have enough curiosity to pay for it.
