I bought the AOL communicator and got it in the mail. I powered it on and it was great, right outta the box, I was IMing friends and writing emails from wherever I went; even in the middle of Times Sq. Then it happened.... After having the device for two days I was at the Olive Garden when I noticed a line cutting through the screen. I immediatley shut the device off and powered back on only to find SIX lines now!!! I changed the battery with a fresh one and even reset the device, but alas....it was still ruined. I called AOL and after wating on the phone for a half hour they politley told me that I had to now go to the post office, pay for a box and shipping and mail it back to them (guess they dont send you a box and make it easy like the nice compaq people). Not only would I have to mail it, but I will now have to call them again (and wait on hold again) to make sure they send me a new one and don't just refund it. Morale of this story....AOL has always fucked everything up and, as usual this venture they did is no different. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. It aint worth the "pain in the ass" factor, especially when your starting another college year. <sigh>
