CF card questions

CF card questions

Postby Luciano U. Werner » Oct 8, 2001 @ 10:31pm

Guys, I just got my hands on my new 128MB CF card this afternoon, and I've been busy trying to fill it up.
Is there some way to install programs direcly on the card but using a directory I made up? For instance, I want to put all my small time games in the directory Games. I tried doing that manually (installing to the card and then moving) but some programs won't accept it. Is there a way to do that?
And another question. Does a program run slower (or takes more time to load) if I run it from the card?

You should fill it up with encoded videos by the encoding team

You could fit Band of Brothers part 3 into 50 MB like I did with PocketDivX.

Sorry Luci. I think a newbie/guest asked that question a while back in another forum/thread/topic and never got an answer either.

By the way, Luci, how did those Bugs Bunny episodes run on your PPC? I couldnt remember what PPC you had (ARM or not) so I wasn't sure if the speed would be there for you. I hope I can remember the encoding settings I used so I can do them again for some more MPEGs. I been messing with this PDivX and its got me all twisted up.

There is no encoding team is just like there is no spoon

all you have to remember is that there is no encoding team, and once you have realized that you will find it isn't the encoding team that is bending, it is your mind

So the phrase "Get Bent!" would be a compliment in this case then.
