Nice File Explorer Replacement

Nice File Explorer Replacement

Postby esw » Oct 29, 2001 @ 7:53pm

I just wanted to mention a nice File Explorer replacement that I found, strangely enough, on Tucows. It's called Pocket Explorer, from . The best thing is that it's free :)

It departs from the normal 'split view', instead uses one big tree for all the files and folders. Which I think is nice. It also features an easy way to make shortcuts, and cool drag and drop support. Anyways, if you are still using the crappy microsoft file explorer, give this a try!

I'll give it a try. The tree kind of reminds me of the old DOS.

Aside from being completely lame, I still use the Windows file explorer 80% of the time because of its speed. Even this pocket explorer is still too damn slow for me.

My second favorite file explorer is the one that comes with Startap, as it is by far the most powerful file explorer, so far.

It's not free, but the Resco one is pretty good.
