Does anyone know if a modem exists that does not require an RJ11 phone jack? Perhaps a wireless modem etc.

Thanks,Derf

You can get wirless pcmcia cards, there only like 20k though. You can also use a cell to hook up to the internet.

Thanks for the input! What hardware/software do you need for the cell hook-up (aside from the obvious).

Well i have never done that be fore but from what i unsderstand there is two ways. You can use a pcmcia card cell comdem or now you can buy these cables to run from your ppc to your compatible cell phone, and it uses your cell phones internet at whopin 19K or something. I think twords the bottom od www.dalecoffing.com they have a link to a reseller of these cables.

You need to make sure you have a compatible cell phone, and that your cell service provider can accomodate that as well. And not all pocket pc's can work this way. I was going to hook up this way with my E-125, but found out that my phone wouldn't work, and that my cell provider didn't offer it either. I wasn't about to break a cell contract and then by a new phone just to do this. I can do without it.
