ok i am getting a little ahead of dan here but i sat down and wanted to clean up the full quake2 pak files so i could play it on my 256mb flash card... i extracted the contents of all the the quake2 pak files with pak explorer and did some trimming and wanted to put em all back into 1 file BUT it seems there are some illegal file names in the paks that came with quake2 that cause it to fail with file not found errors... (stuff with +'s and !'s and other bad characters) i then tried to repack the files using qped - but no luck....
anyone know of any other pak editors that will repack the regged quake2 pak files?
