Pocket Quake Community Devs

Postby James S » Feb 2, 2002 @ 4:42am

I kind of helped out a tad in the early stages, and publicized the game on 3DGameGear.com, where I was working when I first heard of PocketQuake.
But right now I'm working on some logos for the website. If Paul likes em atall then can I join this elite group of people?
Here are the links to some early versions of the images, one without faded quake guy in the background, one with:

I plan on compacting the image so it's smaller in dimension, that way the PPC people can see the PocketQuake page easier.

Looks good, but my name doesn't really need to be on there.

Oh.. of course it does, Dan. You da man :)
I'll see what it looks like when it's taken off. Do you think I should add "id software's" really small above the "KE" in Quake or do these legal actions not matter to that extent?
Ya, all those superfluous words do just clutter the thing up, I'll get rid of em.

Okay, the latest one looks better, but no one is online to upload to PM and my webspace FTP is down.
The quake guy is now 100% opacity but faded at the bottom edges and his head is now where Dan's name was. It's also about 2/3rds the width, with about 4-7 pixels off the bottom. Looking better. Maybe we could use my little RocketPC (hehe) as some kind of icon on the website too, just around places. I'll seperate him and make him smaller for that purpose.

okay, here's the latest PQ logo I've made.

I still think it needs something.. but I forgot to save it as a PSD file so I can't change it :P. I have an older version of the PSD though.

I got the greyscale version running, and I've used PQ's source then to do conversions of other games. It's currently my testbed for creating a monochrome gx.dll.

Die, Palm, Die. If that offended you, then get rid of your Palm OS device.

Xads, you've posted that picture in atleast 3 different threads. Most of the users in this forum read every board. You're really over doing it.

Dan, can I perhaps join the PocketQuake Developer Community. I think I might actually be able to help PocketQuake overall. I can design webpages, I have ideas about speeding up Quake for Xscale devices... I just need a some programming experience to state it more technically, which I'd love to start learning. I do know how to make maps also, but I don't have Worldcraft installed. Dan, if you've got some free time, try my ideas about the XScale's backbuffer problem, I think it's the opposite problem of the iPaq H38xx, and everyone is using that EXE for their Xscale...
