Porting Quake to Win CE 2.11

Porting Quake to Win CE 2.11

Does anybody know how to port quake to Win CE 2.11. If you do please tell me how to, or tell me where I can get a ported version of it for Win Ce 2.11.

I think the reason why no-one has done it yet is because most CE 2.11 devices don't have enough power to run it, and even then alot don't have a GAPI which will slow it down even further...

Don't listen to Tha_Playa until he registers at Pocketmatrix! (hint, hint)

Die, Palm, Die. If that offended you, then get rid of your Palm OS device.

Well, just to show my support, if it does get ported over to CE 2.11 that version should work with the BE300, and the BE has enough power to handle it, I've acctually seen benchmarks of the processors and the MIPs in the BE beats ARM ones on almost all catagories except floating point which is important for FPS.

Also, something for the Webmaster of the PQuake 1 Website is that in the download page()it says that the current MIPS proccesor Devices supported are the E100 and the EM500. Since I have an E100 with Win CE 2.11 and it doesn't work, then that statement is false (unless you get the CE 3 ROM Circuit board chip out of the E115 and replaced the CE 2.11 Chip in the E100 with it. which I now plan on doing because I have now learned that CE 2.11 stinks). Just wanted to point that out for the Webmaster so that he would know about it.

I have a Compaq Aero 8000 (WinCE2.11)with a 800x600 display and a 64 bit 128mhz processor and I was wondering if the GAPI were to be installed would it be fast enough to run PocketQuake. It's clock speed is just behind the jornada 525.

no way yous be able to run PQ at 800x600 on a 128Mhz cpu.. and the jornada plays it crap anyway :P
