My favorite weapons:
Tear Gas - because of the way you have to use it with the wind and because it can penetrate walls,
although I would have liked it better if it was not be stopped by the snail it hits... so for example if the wind is very strong and two snails are not too far apart, you could put it upwind from them and hit them both... currently you can hit them (I think) only if they are in different levels

Flame Strike

and of course...
:twisted: Nuclear Bomb :twisted: - expensive but very satisfying if you can catch 3 or more enemy snails with it...

What is the schoogie special? It looks like it sucks to me isn't just a little pistol that does a tiny bit of damage?

Exactly. If you really get into snails (I got into worms first, and that's where I got into this habit), you will learn how fun it is to insult your opponent if you beat him/her by a lot. For instance, in worms, a great way to insult them is to have a weak worm of yours teleport high above your friend/enemie's worm and then fall down, killing your worm, and have the explosion kill theirs. Or walk up to the worm and prod him for several turns untill you finally knock him off the edge (get some gurders(SP) built first though. And, just as humiliating to the oponent is using a really weak wepon to kill his/her final worm. The handgun comes to mind with that one, but I know that there had to be another, weaker weapon that you could use. So, the snoogie special, does a nice job of this right now. I would like to see a good close range weapon like the fire punch or the baseball bat (both would be good if you allow snails to fall in "deadly substance", or off the screen). A head bong or something that does one pixel worth of damage would also be fun to have.

I edited my Schnoogie Special to inflict plenty of damage. :D Yup. Also, my Napalm Gel has like 20 blobs instead of only 3, but I evened that out by lowering the damage that it does. I also made the Napalm Gel inexpensive so the opponent uses it a lot. I think it's really funny, because the opponent often kills himself... I also made the nuke like twice as powerful in map damage, and like 70% more powerful in unit damage. Also, you get two for the price of one... That's sort of unfair ;) . Maybe I should make it more balanced... The opponents don't use nukes, so I probably should make it more balanced...

I also made Monseir frog more powerful and lowered the fuse to make it more fun. you really got to run!

Also, I love the "suicide-snail" SnailAir Flight! The enemy always uses this, and often they kill their own other snails by landing on them! Actually, the snail sill only die if it isn't at full life.

I should make the Schnoogie Special even more powerful... Yeah. I'll do that!

lol, sounds like Robotbeat is having fun with the DATs. Even things like the Schnoogie Special can cause huge terrain damage, if you mod it just right.

Personally, I like the swarm of Mosquitos I had going while I was tweaking the game. About 12 Mosquitos sounded about right, but it wasn't very stable (and sounded really weird).

We are working on more weapons, more weapons, more weapons. We have enough exploding stuff with this release, so we are focusing on the more unconventional weaponry. Super-secret hush hush stuff, y'know.

The build I have been playing does use airstrikes, and quite effectively I might add. We have added a few options- with all of them enabled it took me about 45 minutes of contant BATTLING (no hiding) before I finally won.

I have an idea. How about something like a strike thing where you drop pennies from the sky, y'know, like if you were on top of a skyscraper, or something? Or maybe you could have like "daisy-cutter" type bombs. I'll do something like that tonight.

Also, I made my nuke my better! It's like a Napalm-Nuke now. When you drop the Nuke, it is actually like 10 different nukes with like each 30 map damage/50unit damage. When you drop them, they spread out and have smoke trails. When they hit, they make a bunch of smaller-sized craters and emit sparks like you do when you die and also they release a bunch of the fire stuff that comes out of the Napalm. It's really cool! It's fun and challenging to use if you have strong wind/current. It totally dissolves the map! Well, not totally, but...

Oh yeah, I remembered that I have 48 blobs of Napalm. Also, my Napalm bounces around sort of kind of like fleas, but not really... This sort of screws up the AI and it sometimes will accidentally kill itself :D . Since there is so much fire stuff, it like eats a hole (usually much, much deeper than wide) in the ground almost to the end of the map.

This is fun! You have a great job, Randall. Now all I need is a job so that I can buy the full version of Snails!
