Hey you know what sucks? I have a perfect looking great sounding 32.3 mb episode of jackass.

The only problem is i can't get it on my ipaq. I am trying to put it on the ram as i have no storage cards or a sleeve. I delete everything but the divx player, i set program memory to about 10 mb, the rest to storage. I start it transferring, it takes maybe 7 minutes. Once the progress bar gets full, its done it gives me an error. "error converting file - there is not enough space on the hard drive"

I am not converting a file, AND there is plenty of space. I just dont get it. It then deletes the file and I have to try again. Sometimes it gives me the error and stops before the progress bar fills up too.

I think that activesync probably thinks that i have 32 mb of ram instead of 64, and stops transferring at 32. I HAVE tried reinstalling activesync and hard resetting my device, but neither of these worked.

My device is a 3670 with 64 mb of ram, upgrading (illegally) to ppc 2002. Maybe that is the reason?

Anyway, I have never once gotten a movie onto my ipaq, and i would love to watch it on the bus to school with headphones, but i can't because activesync sucks. Any suggestions would be appriciated greatly.

I had a similar problem. I went to copy a 29.3 meg movie from a cf card to my e200 (which had 42.3 megs of storage space free) and as soon as it finished it would give me a memory error. It has to be a glitch in the ppc opperating system. Although, a similar thing would happen with the 720. I would have to have 150% of the space needed to hold a file in order to successfully copy it from a cf card to the main memory. This was anoying when messing around with quake.

I just read today in the Windows CE MSDN docs that Windows CE 3.0 can only support filesizes up the 32 MB (which of course must pertain only to the main storage memory and not Storage Cards which use the FAT file system).

That was on my 720 though, which handles larger files and cf card transfers much better than a ppc.

Dammit. I sent the new 32 mb jackass and i couldn't find it on my ppc. The memory slider said the space was taken up but i plain just couldn't find it. I used search, the file explorer, my computers file explorer...it just plain wasn't there!

I had to hard reset to get the memory back...

You should have used DEX-Plor.

If DEX-Plor can't do it nobody can.
