Illegal operatoion

Hi!
Since i´ve instaled the new version of pocketscumm it stop working. I´ve tried returning to the old version but i always recieve the same message:

Fatal alication error.
PocketScumm.exe has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. [...]
Program:

Exception: 0xc0000005
Address: 000102c0

Any help?

I´ve an Ipaq 3600 with 350mb microdive and pocketpc 2002.
But it doesn´t seems to be a hardware problem because the others versions worked since i´ve installed the last version.

Did you install this new PocketSCUMM on top of the old one or did you uninstall/delete the old version first?

can you try a pre 02/17 PocketSCUMM ? if it works, I can see two problems : either switching to my new toolbar bitmaps encoding broke something (...) or something got corrupted in the registry (can you post the content of your HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PocketScumm registry key ?)

Here´s the reply to all of you:

I´ve a color Ipaq
I´ve installed the new version over the older one.(I´ve just overwrited the old files with the new ones)
There´s no PocketScumm entry under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software, what´s suposed to be there?

PocketSCUMM stores the sound volumes & keys actions in this registry key ... it will be automatically created if missing

as I'm using exactly the same configuration for my tests & developments, I'm quite surprised by this issue ... what's your available RAM ?

Got some similar problem here.

Program:
PocketSCUMM.exe (version 03-20-02)
Exception: 0x80000002
Address: 0003bca0


When launching any game, I can see a black screen, the menubar and this nice FATAL EXCEPTION-msgbox - but there seems to be a black rectangular area on top of the error-dialog. I have to move it somewhat down to be able to read the text. Also switching to landscape mode works in this moment.

The config:
iPAQ H3660 with PPC2002 2.14en
latest PocketSCUMM (dl'd today)
PocketSCUMM is on a 256MB-CF-card
dir \Storage Card\Program Files\PocketSCUMM
games are in separate sub-dirs of that dir
the SDL...dll is in \windows
17MB Storage, 14MB Program memory free

Does someone know what this could be?

The directories were:
ATLANTIS_EN
DOTT_EN
MONKEY2_EN
MONKEY2_DE
SAMNMAX_DE

PocketScumm showed "Monkey Island 2 (1)" and "Monkey Island 2 (2)" in the list. Also, the paths were stored in the registry. So THIS worked. Looks like it is missing a file? Or can't find the right file in sub-dirs?
