Pocket PC 2002 SDK Hosing

I finally got around to installing the Pocket PC 2002 SDK on my machine. Now I'm unable to download files to the target through EVC. All of the remote tools work fine so I know ActiveSync is working.

When I try to download the file to the target, I get the following error dialog:

"There is no device installed. Please go to Configure Platform Manager to add a device."

Yeah sure, you betcha. A check with Platform Manager reports all the correct devices. The connection test works fine. Who writes this crap? I guess I can't complain too much - at least I didn't have to pay for it.

I've uninstalled the PPC 2002 SDK and now I *still* get the same error. So their uninstaller is broken too! I suppose now I'll have to uninstall EVT completely, then reinstall. What a waste of a Saturday night!

What target are you trying to download to? The emulator or your device?

I KNOW YOU PROBABLY CHECKED THIS...but...In the upper left corner of the toolbar, you have to make sure it says PPC2002. I had a hard time fixing apps I made for PPC2000, so I had to make a new project and import all the files to get it to work.
