Yeah, Fmod officially announced it the other day or whatever; but we've been using it for a heckuva lot longer than that. We peeps at the Snails team know whats up, yo.

So sad....

Postby MiBi » Mar 8, 2002 @ 3:55pm

Huhu...it's been a while since i last tried snail so i thought it would be time to look if sound on E-115G is fixed somehow. Good thing is there is now sound (which i never had before). Bad thing is it is absolutely unplayable with sound and sound is choppy :-( I think i have to wait a bit longer before buying snails and keep me busy with Scumm and Monkey Island. Hope the sound will be fixed one day...

Thanks for being so patient. You would think that a Casio is a Casio is a Casio, but that obviously isn't the case.

Just check back every once in a while. We certainly want people to be happy with their purchase, so don't buy anything until it is to your satisfaction. We strive every day to correct these things.

Some take longer than others.

A.I. slowed it down, as far as I can tell :/

We're trying to fix this stupid problem, but the problem is being a big meanie-head and won't cooperate!

Since the original demo seemed to work fine with sound on the e-115g, has anyone tried using FMOD from those versions? After the second (christmas demo) we started using the newer, unreleased version, and that seems to be when all the problems started.

At least we'll know who to pin the blame on, the coder of FMOD or Peter :)

Postby e-115g user » Mar 14, 2002 @ 9:54pm

Could you upload the mips version of the fmodce.dll from the mentioned "working sound" demo version somewhere, so that i can try it? i can not find older demos anywhere on the web!

we always remove the old versions, including demos. If there isn't someone who can test this within the next couple hours, I can upload the older version of FMOD.

We've finally fixed this problem and the next update (to be released on monday?) will include this amongst other changes.

Thanks for your patience.
